Installing your spur

Follow these quick pointers when installing your new spur (diagram below). If you need any more detail, please contact us and we shall help you the best we can.

  1. Firstly, we stock either 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm spurs so select the correct size spur to suit your old fence posts.
  2. We recommend digging a hole approximately half the depth of the repair spur next to the old fence post. It may be necessary to remove some of the existing concrete around the post to ensure that the repair spur fits snugly against the wooden post as this will provide better support and stability.
  3. Place the spur in the hole next to old post, making sure it is level, and attach using coach screws and plate washers.
  4. Then back fill with post mix and any hard core that came out the hole.
